Cat Mornings

Amy Watson

Amy fell in love with country music as a child, growing up in Northern Indiana, and attended her first concert at the Star Plaza in Merrillville, after her parents got her tickets to see Steve Wariner and the Oak Ridge Boys as a Christmas gift. When she was a teenager, Amy moved to Bunker Hill, In (near Grissom Air Force Base) where her love for radio emerged. She started working at WARU in Peru, IN the summer before heading to Ball State University, where she majored in Speech Communications and Theatre Education. After working in places like Las Cruces, NM and Grand Rapids, MI, Amy landed at Cat Country 99.9 in 2007.

Amy spends most of her time with her family including two young sons and her husband, who is a teacher at Concord Community School Corporation. Amy also enjoys gardening. She loves to find the time to tend to her flowers and vegetable garden.

Now enough about me," she says. "Let's talk about the music!" Amy has too many country faves to name just one, but she REALLY likes Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert. Catch the Cat Country 99.9 Morning Show with Amy Watson weekdays from 5:30-9:00 a.m.
