Bastille Day in Philadelphia
Let them eat TastyKake! Bastille Day is a French Festival held in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia outside Eastern State Penitentiary. The highlight of the festival is the "Storming of the Bastille." French Troops in full period costume drag Marie Antoinette from high atop the Penitentiary walls to the guillotine where the Philadelphia crowd decides her fate.
